DRB Group took part in a Young Chamber Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) talk at Christleton High School. More than 100 students from years 11, 12 and 13 attended the event.

Josh Jenkins, Planning and Manufacturing Manager, spoke about his role at  DRB. He joined as an apprentice and worked on rotation within the company. This gave him experience on a variety of techniques, working towards his mechanical engineering degree concurrently.

Josh emphasised to the students the benefits of earning while learning. He advised them to take as many work experience opportunities as possible. He  also spoke about being proactive when seeking employment.

“I was thrilled to see that the school encourages students to engage and identify all possible options once its time to take their first step into a future career or education. This was shown by the students’ engagement during the session and their willingness to learn more about the various career paths,” said Josh.
