DRB Group welcomed Glyndŵr University Young Talent Academy Programme students for factory tour.
Emerging leaders from Natural Resources Wales, Transcontinental Advanced Coatings, Comtek, Dylanwad Wines, Thorpe Design Technology, Iceland and Directline Communication, all of whom are part of Wrexham Glyndŵr University’s Young Talent Academy Programme, visited DRB’s factory for an in-depth tour in April.
Rebecca Morgan started the tour with an overview of the work DRB does for its processing and manufacturing customers. She also talked to the students about how DRB services their customers by focusing on their premium customers’ needs and their own core competencies.
Mike Halliday, Production Engineer Team Lead then showed the group around the factory on what turned out to be a very interactive tour with lots of questions.
Gaenor Roberts is the Young Talent Academy Programme leader. She said, “The students were full of praise when we returned to Glyndwr and had enjoyed and benefited from hearing about DRB’s work and seeing for themselves the work you do.”
Rebecca Morgan commented on DRB’s involvement in local STEM initiatives. “Inspiring the next and future generations of engineers and leaders is something we’re very passionate about at DRB Group. We have 8 apprentices currently and have a clear personal development culture across the whole business.”
