At DRB we often get involved in charity events and this month is no different. More than 20 different members of staff, from departments across DRB, have signed up for Movember and are growing some very stylish facial hair!
Movember is a fantastic initiative which involves individuals growing a moustache for the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health conditions.
The charity aims to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health through tackling key issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Since it started in 2003 the Movember Foundation has raised over £650 million and supported more than 1,250 men’s health projects.
At DRB we are aiming to raise £500 for this great cause and are already well on our way to achieving this target.
Not content with just growing a moustache one of our apprentices, Luke, has gone a step further to encourage staff across DRB to donate even more money. He has promised that he will wax off his moustache at the end of the month. Our CEO, Matt, has said if Luke raises £100 not only will he donate an additional £200 to the charity but he will join him and have his moustached waxed off too!
