DRB Group held a bake sale this week to fundraise for Hope House Children’s Hospices. We raised £302.
Staff, customers and visitors all enjoyed a plethora of home-baked goodies. Amongst those showing off their hidden talents was Greg who baked jam-filled pancakes, Neville who produced malteser tiffins, Peter and his family who baked cupcakes, and a secret baker who showcased chocolate truffles! Our star baker was John with his millionaire’s shortbread.
Since 2017, DRB has raised nearly £12,000 for Hope House and will continue to work with this fantastic charity.
DRB’s CEO Matt Bennett said, “Family is the single most important thing. The work that Hope House does is so important for local families who have suffered things that no family should have to go through.”
Hope House offers a range of services including respite and end-of-life care at their two hospices and/or within the family home, and support such as counselling and advocacy. All children, young people and family members receive bereavement support for as long as is needed. Hope House needs £6.3m every year to maintain their vital services families so desperately need.
