DRB Duck downed tools on Thursday night in preparation for the annual duck race in Chester on Saturday. The Countess Charity Duck Race is in its 6th year and raises vital funds for the Countess of Chester Hospital’s new neonatal unit.
Hanna Clarke, Corporate and Events Fundraising Manager at Countess of Chester Hospital said, “So far we have raised more than £107k from the Annual Chester Duck Races towards the new neonatal unit. You may have seen the plans as we will start building the new unit in October. This year’s race will raise funds for beds that will fold down from the wall in the intensive care unit, high dependency unit, and nurseries to enable parents to sleep more comfortably beside their baby(s).”
Congratulations to CF Fertilisers for winning the corporate duck race. DRB Duck finished in the top 15 out of nearly 200 ducks.
